Its time to rake the leaves...

Its been quite a day. Lane I woke up early and raked the leaves out on our lawn. Its amazing how many leaves can fall from 2 trees. But I love fall it reminds me of my childhood. Growing up we lived in the middle of 10 huge trees and we loved to rake the leaves into pretend walls and would play house for hours on end until it was time to get out the large canvase tarps. We would rake the leaves onto the tarps and all of us kids would drag it out to the garden where we would light them on fire. I can still smell the burning leaves. What good times!

I remember that too! I loved to play in the leaves.

Oregon leaves were a bit of a shock to me. Or I should say, Oregon slugs! Yuck!

They don't let you burn the leaves around here, so I guess we'll just have to take a bucket full inside and do it in the fireplace. =)

Sweeeet!!! You have a blog. What a great way to keep up with the Hillam clan once you move to Idaho. Speaking of which, the Hadley's are very sad to see you go. :( We were doing the "leaf thing" yesterday too. I must say it was alot more fun raking leaves as a child than it is now as an adult. However this is still my FAVORITE season of the year.
